The Scottish Mining Museum in Newtongrange will host a wedding fair on Sunday 16 May for couples keen to host their special day in one of Scotland’s most unique venues. The wedding fair will give couples the opportunity to find out about various packages on offer at the museum and the personalised services available, including guest tours around the Pithead and the services of a traditional piper.

A number of wedding specialists will also be exhibiting on the day with representatives from Simply Flowers, Sean Bell Wedding Photography, Paper Lace, Ecosse Cars, Eden Beauty, Angel Designs Wedding Jewellery and Baxter Travel already confirmed. Some of the exhibiting suppliers will also be giving couples who book on the day, special discounts.

Gillian Rankin, Marketing Manager at the Scottish Mining Museum, said: “The wedding fair is an excellent opportunity for couples planning their wedding to discuss their requirements with lots of local wedding specialists, all under one roof.

“For couples who want something different for their big day, our fantastic facilities at the Scottish Mining Museum could be just what they are looking for. Many couples have already tied the knot here, with bespoke ceremonies from the simple to the lavish, and we look forward to hosting many more special days to come.”
